Normal intro as always. Today we are going to make a healthy desert, with an old fashioned flavor. Bubbe likes to get everything done simple, easy, and delicious to todays standards of life. The desert is called Luchen Kugel but it can be called Noodle Pudding. It's so good Bubbe can feel the flavor before she even makes it. Bubbe does not like to wash pans and so she introduces that there is a new aluminum foil that has come out that has an OU rating which is perfect since it makes an easy cleanup at the end of the day. During the show the refrigerator and microwave is utilized. This is the first time these appliances have made there appearances on the show. Todays Yiddish word is Luchen ...Luchen...Luchen. Ingredients You'll Need
9 X 13 Baking Pan
8 oz. medium noodles (yok free can be used)
4 tsp. margarine
8 oz. low fat sour cream
8 oz. low fat cottage cheese
2 eggs
1/2 cup of sugar
1 1/2 cups of skim milk
1 tsp. vanilla
Directions
Procedure:
Mix noodles, margarine, sour cream, cottage cheese, eggs, sugar and vanilla.
Pour in baking pan.
Pour milk over mixture in pan
Bake 350° for one hour
The recipe should serve about 8 servings and can be served warm, room temperature, or cold.
