Why I Love This Recipe

I tried this at my husband's aunt's home many years ago and just HAD to have the recipe. My husband and daughter don't like fruits, so I really enjoy making this for holiday meals when the whole family enjoys this with me. I didn't make it last year for Thanksgiving - I'll never make that mistake again!

Ingredients You'll Need

2 small cans crushed pineapple, not drained
2 eggs, well beaten
1/2 cup sugar
2 tablespoons flour
1 stick butter
5 slices bread, cubed

Directions

Mix pineapple, eggs, sugar and flour and pour into a buttered casserole dish.

Melt butter and toss with bread to coat.

Scatter on top of pineapple mixture.

Bake in a 350* oven for about 30 minutes or until top is golden brown.

If it browns too quickly, just cover with aluminum foil for a while so the bread doesn't burn.
