Banana Bread
Why I Love This Recipe
Most of my recipes have been handed down to me by my mother, which she's received from her mother and so on. This is a very moist, delicious bread.
Ingredients You'll Need
1 c. white sugar
1/2 c. shortening
2 eggs
2 c. flour
1 tsp. soda
5 T. buttermilk or sourmilk
3 lg mashed bananas
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 c. nuts
Directions
Mix in order given.
Put into 1 bread pan and bake at 350 for 1 hour or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
