Why I Love This Recipe

This sauce is intended to be served hot, when it cools it is very thick, even at room temp. You can thin it with water if you need to use it less than hot. This is the perfect caramel sauce for ice cream, apple tarts and pear tarts.


Ingredients You'll Need

1 pound sugar
1/3 cup water
1/2 tsp lemon juice
2 Tbsp light corn syrup
1 1/2 cups heavy cream
2 oz butter
