Why I Love This Recipe

These are very good while hot with some butter. After they've cooled it's best to pop in the microwave for a couple of seconds to warm them back up. They can be really dry if you eat them cold!

Ingredients You'll Need

1 3/4 Cup All Purpose Flour
3 Tablespoons Granulated Sugar
2 1/2 Teaspoon Baking Powder
1/2 Teaspoon Salt
1/3 Cup cold butter, cut into pieces
1 egg, beaten
1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips (I use the minichips)
4 to 6 Tablespoons Half & Half
1 egg, beaten- for glazing

Directions

Preheat oven to 450 degrees.

Combine flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Cut cold butter in with a pastry blender or two knives. Stir in beaten egg, chocolate chips and just enough Half&Half so that dough leaves the side of the bowl.

On a lightly floured surface, knead lightly 10 times. Spread out into circle roughly 1/2 inch thick. Cut into 12 wedges.

Place wedges onto an ungreased cookie sheet. Brush with the beaten egg. Bake at 450 degrees for 10-12 minutes.

Enjoy!
