Double Malted Milk Brownies

Ingredients You'll Need
                                     1 - 1 oz. sq. unsweetened chocolate
                    
                                     1/2 cup shortening
                    
                                     3/4 c. sugar
                    
                                     1/2 teaspoon vanilla
                    
                                     2 eggs
                    
                                     1 cup flour
                    
                                     1/2 c. malted milk powder
                    
                                     1/2 teaspoon baking powder
                    
                                     1/2 teaspoon salt
                    
                                     1/2 c. malted milk candies, broken into pieces
                    
                                     Malted Milk Frosting:
                    
                                     2 tbsp. butter, softened
                    
                                     1/4 cup chocolate malted milk powder
                    
                                     1 cup confectioners sugar
                    
                                     evaporated milk 
                    
                               
Directions
Melt chocolate; cool. Cream together next 3 ingredients till fluffy; beat in eggs. Blend in melted chocolate. Sift together dry ingredients; stir into creamed mixture. Fold in malted milk candy pieces. Spread in greased 8x8x2 inch baking pan. Bake at 350 degrees 20-25 minutes. Frosting: Cream soft butter and malted milk powder. Slowly beat in confectioners sugar and enough evaporated milk to make of spreading consistency. Spread over brownies. Cut into bars.
