Easy Vanilla Ice Cream

Why I Love This Recipe
I bought an ice cream maker this summer and had been looking for some easy recipes for ice cream. I didn't like the recipes that came with the maker because for some reason when I made the plain, basic vanilla ice cream it was so greasy we couldn't eat it. Now, honostly I can not remember where I got this recipe from but if you have an ice cream maker you HAVE TO try this recipe.
A few tips ...I have used both regular non-pasteurized and pasteurized eggs and no one ever got sick. And I have used the 9 oz. tubs of cool whip instead of the 8 oz. I can`t do to much dairy so when ever I make this I used lactose free milk (Lactaid or Dairy Ease brand)
Last time I made this I added some chopped up fresh strawberries (about 1/2 c.) and I used 1 teaspoon of strawberry flavoring.
Ingredients You'll Need
4 pasteurized eggs (like Egglands Best brand)
2 c. sugar
2 small boxes vanilla instant pudding mix
1 8 oz. tub of cool whip
1/2 c. pecans (optional)
1 t. vanilla
1/2 gallon milk
Directions
Beat eggs.
Add sugar and pudding mix, beat thouroughly.
Stir in cool whip, nuts, vanilla and milk.
Pour into ice cream maker according to your maker directions.
