Why I Love This Recipe
Cooks Notes:
Leftovers can be frozen after cooking
Make sure your top layer of lasagne is completely covered with meat mixture. Any exposed noodles will turn crispy during cooking. If I am running short on the meat mixture then I just add more spaghetti sauce to cover
Ingredients You'll Need
1# ground beef - I use extra lean
1 small onion - chopped
2 tbs olive oil
1 - 6oz can tomato paste
1# 13 oz jar spaghetti sauce with meat
2 eggs beaten
1 1/2# Ricotta cheese
1/3# mozzarella cheese
1# Lasagna
3 tbs parmesan cheese
salt, pepper, nutmeg
Directions
Meat Mixture - saute meat and onion in olive oil until cooked.
Add tomato paste and spaghetti sauce and cook 10 minutes.
Season to taste.
Remove from stove
Cheese Mixture - combine in a bowl lightly beaten eggs, Ricotta and mozarella.
Add a dash of nutmeg to taste.
Cook noodles as directed on package.
Place a layer of noodles in lightly greased 9 X 13 pan. Next add a layer of the chese mixture, then a layer of lasagne, then a layer of meat.
Repeat once endng with meat.
Sprinkle with parmesan cheese.
Bake at 350 for 40 minutes.
