Why I Love This Recipe

This recipe is from my SALSAVINO cookbook (pg 40)

This salsa recipe was created to pair with a 2001 Livermore Valley Cellars "Livermore", a crisp, german style white table wine.

(quoted from the book)Shredding green papaya is not unlike beginning a Thai Som Tum salad, but that is where the similarity ends. The apple, jalapeno, and avocado help this salsa achieve multiple layers of flavors and textures; creamy and tangy, crunchy and spicy.

Ingredients You'll Need

1 cup Papaya, green, shredded
1 cup Cucumber, peeled, seeded, chopped
1 cup Apple, Granny Smith, diced
1 cup Avocado, pureed
¼ cup Lemon juice
1 Jalapeno chili, seeded, diced
2 Tablespoon Cilantro, chopped
Salt to taste
Pepper to taste

Directions

Chop, Mix & Serve.
