Mom's Lemon Meringue Pie
                      Why I Love This Recipe
This was my grandmothers recipe.
Ingredients You'll Need
                                     1/2 cup cold water
                    
                                     7 TB cornstarch 
                    
                                     1 1/2 cup Hot water
                    
                                     1 1/2 cup sugar
                    
                                     3 eggs yolks slightly beaten (save whites)
                    
                                     The juice of 1 lemon-or more to taste.
                    
                                     1 Tbsp. butter or marg.
                    
                               
Directions
Mix corn starch and water -set aside
Heat water and sugar to boiling, add corn starch and cook until thickens-put a little sugar water mixture to egg yolks.
Stir-then add beaten egg yolks to mixture.
Cook till thick.
Add lemon Juice and butter-blend well.
Cool-put in baked pie shell.
For meringue-beat whites til stiff.
Add about 1/2 cup sugar gradually spoon over cooled lemon pie.
Put in oven till tips of meringue turn golden brown.
