My Grandmother's Gingersnaps
Why I Love This Recipe
I use a generous measure of the spices and sometimes add small pieces
of candied ginger.
I also lightly spray the cookie sheet
Ingredients You'll Need
sift together
2 cups flour
2 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
1 tsp ginger
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp cloves
cream together
1 cup sugar
3/4 cup shortening
then add
1/4 cup molasses
1 egg
add dry ingredients a little at a time
Directions
Drop by teaspoons into sugar, roll into small balls, place on cookie
sheet and bake.
Wait until they fall before removing from the baking sheet.
350º 9-10 minutes
