Old Timey Scalloped Potatoes

Why I Love This Recipe
This is an old standby T&T recipe at my house and has been since I was a new bride in 1964. It always turns out perfect for me. I suppose you can add other things and fancy it up like some cooked and crumbled bacon, top with cheese during last 30 minutes of cooking, add some sliced green onion or anything at all but for me this works so I don't mess with it.

1 1/2 cup milk
2 Tbs. Butter, melted
1 1/2 tsp. Salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
Directions
Cover bottom of a greased square or oblong 2 qt. casserole with thin potato slices. Mix together flour, salt and pepper in a small bowl. Sprinkle half of the flour, salt, pepper mixture over the potatoes; add another layer of potatoes then repeat with the flour, salt, pepper mixture. Pour the 1-1/2 cups of milk over all. Drizzle evenly with melted butter. Cover with foil and bake at 375° F for 30 minutes. Uncover and cook for an additional 30 minutes until potatoes are tender and top is slightly brown.
