Pecan Pie Brownies

Ingredients You'll Need
For the Topping:
3/4 Cup Brown Sugar
1/4 Cup Butter, doesn't have to be softened
1 egg
2 Tablespoons All Purpose Flour
1 Teaspoon Vanilla
4 cups chopped Pecans
For the Brownies:
2/3 Cup Butter
1/2 Cup Cocoa Powder
1 Cup Granulated Sugar
1 Cup Brown Sugar
4 eggs
2 Teaspoons Vanilla
1 1/4 Cups All Purpose Flour
1/2 Teaspoon Baking Powder
Directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease a 13x9" pan- liberally.
In a heavy saucepan, combine 3/4 cup brown sugar and 1/4 cup butter.
Cook and stir over low hear until butter is melted and mixture combines.
Remove from heat and stir in 1 egg, 2 tbsp flour and 1 tsp vanilla and mix well.
Stir in all nuts (making sure to get nuts well coated) and set aside.
In a heavy saucepan, combine 2/3 cup butter with cocoa powder.
Cook over low heat, stirring frequently, until butter melts.
Add sugar and brown sugar and beat well.
Then add 4 eggs and 2 tsp vanilla and beat to combine.
Stir in 1 1/4 cups flour and 1/2 tsp baking powder.
Pour chocolate mixture into prepared pan.
Spread the nut topping over chocolate mixture. Make sure you spread it over the entire pan or they will just sink in the middle.
Bake at 350 degrees for 30-40 minutes or until set.
Start watching towards the end, the nuts can burn really quickly.
