Perfect Cornbread

Why I Love This Recipe
This recipe is from our local Junior League Ladies Cookbook. They added a note with the recipe that one testor had never been able to make good cornbread--she succeeded so she said it was perfectly named.

Ingredients You'll Need
1 cup flour,sifted
1/4 c. sugar
4 tsps. baking powder
3/4 tsp. salt
1 cup yellow corn meal
2 eggs
1 c. milk
1/4 cup corn oil
Directions
Sift flour with sugar, baking powder and salt.Stir in cornmeal then add eggs, milk and oil. Beat one minute or until smooth. Pour into greased 9x9 in. pan. Bake at 425 deg. for 20-25 min.
cornstick molds may also be used. Bake until firm and golden.
