Raisin Cookies
Why I Love This Recipe
My aunt is the one who made these years ago. Since I loved them she gave me the recipe. I don't make it much since I am the only one who likes raisins in my family. If you like raisin oatmeal, these are really good, and easy! When I was little I liked making these just to mix the soda and vinegar.
Ingredients You'll Need
1 cup shortening
1 cup white sugar
1 cup brown sugar
2 eggs
2 cups flour
1 tsp nutmeg
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp salt
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda dissolved in 1 Tbsp vinegar
2 cups quick oatmeal
2 cups raisins
Directions
Mix in order given. Bake at 350 degrees F for 10-12 minutes.
