Sour Cream Halibut

Why I Love This Recipe
This is the BEST halibut recipe. I kid you NOT!!!!! My family and friends think that this is gourmet eating!
Ingredients You'll Need
1 C white wine or Sauterne (do not use cooking wine)
1 t salt
1 lb. Halibut
fine bread crumbs or corn flake crumbs
1 C mayonnaise
½ c sour cream
¼ C chopped onion
paprika
shredded cheddar cheese
Directions
Mix wine and salt. (I have never used the salt and I watch the salt intake) Marinate halibut for at least 1 hour (best if marinated most of day. I usually marinate overnight) Drain fish on paper towl, dip both sides in bread crumbs, place in a greased baking dish. Mix together mayo, sour cream and onions. Spread over fish and sprinkle top wop with remaining crumbs and paprika if desired. Sprinkle with cheddar cheese to desire. Bake at 500 degrees until fish flakes with fork. About 15 minutes. Do not over cook
