Why I Love This Recipe

Lynn's notes: I served these plain without any dipping sauce. They were delicious and such a great change from a normal wrap sandwich. You should let them sit for about 10 minutes after removing from the oven so they have a chance to cool and you can eat them out of hand.

Ingredients You'll Need

4 tortillas -- burrito-size
1/3 cup butter or margarine -- softened
6 tablespoons shredded parmesan cheese
4 ounces provolone cheese -- thinly sliced
4 ounces salami -- thinly sliced
4 ounces capicolla or ham -- thinly sliced
1/2 cup rinsed roasted bell peppers -- cut in strips
4 ounces mozzarella cheese -- shredded
marinara or pizza sauce -- heated

Directions

Heat oven to 400 degrees.

Lightly spread one side of each tortilla with softened butter; sprinkle with 1 tablespoon parmesan.

Arrange 1/4 each of provolone, salami, capicolla (or ham) and roasted peppers over center of tortillas, leaving border around edges.

Sprinkle each tortilla with 1/4 of the mozzarella.

Fold up "wrap fashion."

Place seam side down on non-stick baking sheet.

Brush with remaining butter; sprinkle with remaining parmesan.

Bake 12 to 15 minutes or until golden brown.

Slice each "stromboli" on the diagonal.

Serve with marinara or pizza sauce, if desired. .
