Why I Love This Recipe

An elderly friend gave me her entire recipe collection, and I found this tucked in an old book. It was handwritten on a very yellowed piece of paper in fancy script, and she told me she thought it had been one of her grandmother's. I lost track of this recipe until recently, so I'm sharing it here. I haven't made these yet, but intend to very soon. Who needs measuring cups, anyway?! LOL

Ingredients You'll Need

egg
sugar
sour cream
teaspoon of (baking) soda
a little salt
a little nutmeg.

Directions

Break an egg into a teacup, then fill the cup with sugar.

Dump into a bowl and beat. Add a teacup of sour cream, a teaspoon of (baking) soda, a little salt and a little nutmeg.

Add enough (all-purpose) flour to stiffen.

Bake in cupcake tins.

Questions, Comments & Reviews

Wow I hope you post some more of these recipes. my aunt had a collection of these which unfortunately got tossed when her side of the family took over. Are there any recipes for homemade chocolates with fillings?

Very interesting. Thanks for sharing! I wonder how much batter I should put in each tin...not too much, I'd expect, or they'd be way too thick.
