Ingredients You'll Need
Filling:
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1/4 cup sour cream
1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
1 cup chopped walnuts
Cookie:
2 cups flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
1 stick (1/2 cup) unsalted butter
1 cup packed brown sugar
1 large egg
1 tsp. vanilla extract
Topping:
3/4 cup confectioners’ sugar
1 Tbsp. milk
Directions
Preheat oven to 350ºF.
Prepare filling:
In small bowl, mix 1/2 cup brown sugar, sour cream and cinnamon until smooth.
Stir in walnuts; set aside.
Prepare cookies:
Whisk together flour, baking soda and salt in small bowl;set aside.
In large bowl with electric mixer at medium speed, beat butter 1 cup brown sugar until fluffy.
Add egg and vanilla; beat until light and well blended.
Reduce speed to low; gradually add dry ingredients, beating just until smooth.
Divide dough into 12 equal pieces. Roll into balls; place 3 inches apart on 2 ungreased baking sheets.
With your fingertip, make a wide, round depression in center of each cookie reaching almost to the edges and leaving a rim.
Fill depressions with walnut topping, mounding fairly high above rims.
Bake 15 to 20 minutes, until filling is set and slightly browned. Transfer cookies to wire rack to cool.
Meanwhile, prepare topping:
Stir together confectioners’ sugar and milk until smooth.
Drizzle over top of cooled cookies
