Warm Mulled Apple Cider

Why I Love This Recipe
This one was a classic that my mother served at all holiday parties when we were kids. It was the star of all of my birthday parties too, since I'm a Christmas Eve baby. As I got older, a little booze crept into the recipe, and now it's the favorite at Superbowl parties, too!
It's quick and easy to prepare, and let's face it, a little liquor doesn't hurt when holiday stress gets you all worked up!
Ingredients You'll Need
3/4 gallon apple cider
2 cups orange juice
1 bottle spiced rum (I use Captain Morgan)
5 cinnamon sticks
1 tsp. whole cloves
1 tsp. allspice
Directions
In a crockpot set to medium, combine cider and juice. Pour in rum to taste. I use several cups for a large pot, but it depends on your preference!
Fill a cheesecloth with the spices and tie with string. (Don't have cheesecloth? Try an unworn stocking, one of my grandmother's old tricks) Add to the pot and let simmer for at least an hour.
Serve warm with cinnamon sticks as garnish
