Ingredients You'll Need
Marinara Sauce:
1 cup chopped onion
1/2 cup green bell pepper
1/4 cup finely chopped celery
3 cloves garlic, minced
2 tbsp olive oil
1 can (14 oz) diced tomatoes
1 can (6 oz) tomato paste
1/2 tsp basil
1/4 tsp oregano
1/2 tsp Italian seasoning
1/2 tsp sugar
1 lb. ziti pasta, cooked and drained
1 lb. Italian sausage, casings removed crumbled, cooked and drained
1/2 hamburger meat, cooked with Italian sausage
8 oz shredded mozzarella cheese
1/2 cup parmesan cheese
1 (15 oz) ricotta cheese
1 egg
Directions
1 lb. ziti pasta, cooked and drained
1 lb. Italian sausage, casings removed crumbled, cooked and drained
1/2 hamburger meat, cooked with Italian sausage
8 oz shredded mozzarella cheese
1/2 cup parmesan cheese
1 (15 oz) ricotta cheese
1 egg
Marinara Sauce (recipe follows)
Combine mozzarella, parmesan, ricotta and egg. Combine sausage, hamburger meat and marinara sauce.
Spread about 1/3 cup marinara meat mixture on the bottom of a greased 9x13. Layer 1/2 pasta, 1/2 cheese mixture and 1/2 marinara meat mixture. Repeat. Sprinkle with extra mozzerella chese. Bake 350 for 30-40 minutes, cover with foil if cheeses begins to brown too much.

In a large skillet cook onion, bell pepper, celery and garlic in oil until tender. Stir in tomatoes, tomato paste, basil, oregano, Italian seasoning, sugar, 1/2 cup water, 1/2 tsp salt and 1/8 tsp pepper. Bring to boiling; reduce heat. Cover and simmer for 30 minutes. If necessary, uncover and simmer 10-15 minutes or until desired consistency; stirring occasionally.
