Cranberry, Orange, Raspberry Vodka Drink (aka Cape Cod)
I had a great drink last night... it's a little different than a traditional Cape Cod because is has flavored Vodka. It doesn't look that great, but it is!I'm drinking this now. I figure, I had to upload a photo anyway. HAHAHAH :) Cheers to us!

Root Beer Vodka Float
Just In Time For Summer! There are few times in life when you try something truly unique. It's summer in LA and you can tell by the triple digit temperatures. We are boiling in the West! Last night I wanted ice cream, but was looking for something different. Then it hit me.. what about infusing it with some flavored vodka? So I invited my good friend Latifah (also a BakeSpace member and a friend I have known since high school) over for a little taste test. I was given three bottles of vodka from the good folks at Three Olives Vodka. The flavors they sent were root beer, tomato and espresso. My first try was the root beer - I thought it would be the safest to try. I haven't really tried many flavored vodkas except what you find at the local market.. you know the flavors.. orange, lemon and raspberry. We made three batches last night (three variations of the same recipe until we got it right... all in the name of research). You don't expect it, but the vodka can give you a bit of a buzz... photo will be uploaded soon. The vodka itself really smells like root beer which surprised me. I thought it would have more of an alcoholic smell. The color is clear so it will not change a drink's look. This recipe is perfect for an afternoon in the sun or on the patio as it really cools you down. The root beer flavor itself was quite nice and light in taste. I am not a huge vodka fan although I do enjoy a raspberry vodka in my chocolate martini and also in a glass of orange juice. All in all, I really enjoyed the flavor and quality of the final product. It was definitely fun changing the recipe up with each try. I'm not really sure what to add to the tomato and espresso flavors, but it will be fun to play around. More on those flavors later.. If you have an ideas for the tomato or espresso vodkas let me know. I'm curious to find some new recipes to try.

Milk and Kahlua Midnight Cocktail
Ok.. I can't tell you how delightful it is to have a warm cup of milk before bed.. you probably already know that. But have you added a splash of Kahlua? It's delish!

Thank you for your interest in babs's cookbook and for helping support the BakeSpace community of independent cookbook authors!

Here’s some quick information regarding how our cookbook platform works, along with a few tips for making the most of cookbooks you add to your library.

What is the Cookbook Café Platform?

Cookbook Café is our one-of-a-kind cookbook publisher, marketplace and reader. It empowers everyone to create, market and distribute a cookbook as both a web-based eBook and an iPad app. It also makes it incredibly easy for home cooks to discover and use amazing grassroots cookbooks they won't find anywhere else. Since 2012, we've published thousands of cookbooks authored by home chefs, nonprofit organizations, clubs, brands, etc. Our goal is to democratize cookbook publishing and make it easy to build an online library of amazing grassroots cookbooks.

How do I "download" a cookbook?

You don't need to "download" cookbooks or deal with any files. All of the cookbooks you select (free and paid) using Cookbook Café become available to you automatically on any device (computer, tablet or smartphone) whenever you’re logged-in to your free BakeSpace account.

When you see a cookbook you like, simply click the green "Get it Now" button. If you're not logged in to BakeSpace, you'll be asked to login (or join) so the cookbook can be added to your cookbook library. Once in your library, you can access the cookbook anytime, anywhere via BakeSpace.com, as well as our Cookbook Café iPad app.

While you're checking out cookbooks, also take some time to visit other parts of the delicious BakeSpace.com community where you can swap recipes and connect with others who share your passion for food and the culinary lifestyle.

Get ready to enjoy a uniquely smart and social cookbook experience!

Once a cookbook is added to your BakeSpace library, our proprietary recipe indexing technology makes it easy for you to find any specific recipe across all of your cookbooks… so there's no need to remember which cookbook contains that perfect recipe. In addition, you can connect directly with each cookbook author, leave comments/reviews and even ask questions about recipe substitutions, history, etc.

Happy Father's Day Day... Your Favorite Recipes

My dad grew up in Albania and I can always remember the kitchen being filled with things like cabbage, fresh bread, lamb and greek yogurt - the real kind, not the sweet kind you find in the store. He came to the US with no money and a dream of being an American. He always said, he was an American the day he was born. This is a collection of his favorite recipes. I've also added our BakeSpace Google Hangout where we talk about cooking with our dads.

I Got Baked: Introducing Cookbook Cafe

FREE

We think it’s time to democratize cookbook publishing! Thank you for downloading Cookbook Cafe and for joining us as we create an entirely new way to publish and shop for cookbooks. With Cookbook Cafe, any home chef, group or nonprofit organization can publish an interactive cookbook as both an iPad app and a web-based ebook. They can then give it away or sell it to the world for profit or fundraising via the Cookbook Cafe storefront. It's an idea whose time has come. After all, why should only "big name" chefs get a chance to make it as a cookbook author? Unlike other do-it-yourself publishing services that help authors create traditional ebooks or mobile apps, Cookbook Cafe is free AND not limited by technology platform. It functions across different types of devices, including the iPad and any desktop or mobile web browser. Best of all, many of the books you’ll find on Cookbook Cafe help support worthy nonprofit organizations that use community cookbooks to raise funds. Cookbook Cafe was created by Webby honored food social network and recipe swap BakeSpace.com. We've added my two favorite cupcake recipes to this cookbook so you can get an idea of what our cookbooks are like. If you have any questions, please send us an email at [email protected] or follow us on twitter @bakespace. Together let's change the world one recipe at a time!
